Tuesday was my third time out to the Lake Elsinore area to soak up the super bloom. The crowds at Walker Canyon trail are everything they are cracked up to be: intense. I learned that on my first visit and had an epiphany that there must be dirt roads one can take to get up into the hills and away from the crowds. Sure enough, I found what might currently be California’s best kept secret way to experience the epic hills blanketed with orange, purple, yellow and green. The boys seems to get a good kick out of it too even though Bode’s original response to going to see the flowers was ‘BOOORING!’
